Sand King, get arcane then get blink*, after that is either Veil or/and Aghanims. Then go for a shivas or a heart. *You should get a BKB first if the enemy just has a billion disables and you are scared about pulling your ulti right(which you really shouldnt if you can get in a safe spot to cast ulti and then blink, also dagger works marvels for chasing and getting away) *DONT PICK SAND KING WHEN THE ENEMY TEAM HAS PUGNA, NETHER WARD WILL SHIT ON YOUR ULTI 90% OF THE TIME
Juggernaut build if you aren't fed well? My usual build is Poor Man's -> Perseverance -> Treads -> BF -> Agh's, but I'm trying to move to getting S&Y or Deso (or both) before Agh's unless my ult is made less devastating by a tanky enemy teams.
Poor Man's Shield -> Boots -> MoM -> Treads -> BF -> Manta -> MKB/BKB -> BKB/MKB -> Daedalus/Butterfly or something. MoM doesn't hurt if they can't hit you and sure as hell will help you when you have to 1v1 the enemy carry. I wouldn't be afraid to mix things up though, maybe get a Hyperstone fast instead and go for Mjollnir and skipping BF.
I need a good build for Ursa (Hp conservative), we are using the Shadow Shaman/Ursa recommended from this gentleman. It worked out amazing in the beginning of our match but he was somewhat squishy due to the build he was using, anyone have anything that we could potentially benefit from?

Also, you can dodge projectiles with your W similar to Puck. And dodge with your burrow strike

You can also build either a Poor Man's Shield or a Vanguard. The latter tanks you up a lot, which is what you generally want on Ursa (the more health he has, the more damage he deals, so stack health items on him). Stuff like Heaven's Halberd (if for whatever reason you're getting torn apart by auto-attacks) and Heart are nice for this. You also often build BKB on Ursa, which gives him a bit of health and magic immunity, of course. In pubs, Shadow Blade is also pretty nice for a gap closer and escape mechanism. Blink Dagger is usually better though, but its a weak defensive item. How exactly was he building Ursa? Just stacking Agility items? Gives you some mana regen, lets you make something out of starting bracers, and you usually are present for a lot of kills and thus get a good deal of charges. Combined with Arcane Boots you'll be able to stay at full health and mana a lot.
Has anyone played Jakiro here? I need a few tips. I've got the whole supporting role and crowd control aspects of him down, but could do with some further insight.
Well, maybe not for specific heroes, but having thread categories is probably a bit better. Discussions and tips for carries, for instance, are a lot different than those for support.
All you need is a good comprehensible OP with listed Heroes and some good items/item builds and a little bit of explaining/situational stuff.
Can someone tell my why Helm of the Dominator is so good, it has like a 5 minute cooldown just for creep control?
Can someone tell my why Helm of the Dominator is so good, it has like a 5 minute cooldown just for creep control?
People like to use it to stack ancients, and lifesteal is alright..
Can someone tell my why Helm of the Dominator is so good, it has like a 5 minute cooldown just for creep control?
I used it on Slardar to have an Alpha wolf follow my team around. Lasts for 20minutes so it dies before it dies to old age. But upping it to Satanic wasn't really a priority to me. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline]
People like to use it to stack ancients, and lifesteal is alright..
Hmm.. I just stack creeps like ancients myself, whether it's for me or our carry to clear.

General tips- If you are a effective initiator in the early game, build an urn. It's cheap, gives some Strength and mana regen, and those urn charges are like a free Salve every time you get a kill. People who should almost always build urn (as long as another teammate didn't beat you too it)- Huskar, Sven, Night Stalker, Batrider, Kunkka, Slardar, Tidehunter, Pudge. (If you didn't go bottle. Always get either a bottle or urn on pudge, it works wonders) People who can still USE an urn rather well, but have more important early game items/should probably be letting others get the farm- Earthshaker, Bounty Hunter, Dragon Knight, Alchemist, Tiny, Sandking. [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] Also, some heroes cna really benefit from building arcane boots, and then disasembling them for a Soulbooster. Try it on Storm Spirit, Leshrac, and Ogre Magi.
Can someone tell my why Helm of the Dominator is so good, it has like a 5 minute cooldown just for creep control?
cheap lifesteal that upgrades into satanic if it gets to super lategame
cheap lifesteal that upgrades into satanic if it gets to super lategame
+ stacking ancients + no recipe, builds out of two simple, useful items
Can someone tell my why Helm of the Dominator is so good, it has like a 5 minute cooldown just for creep control?
Lifesteal, armour, and bonus damage. That, and as people have already said, ancient stacking for when you're too busy already farming to do it with your own hero. Though if you really want you can get some nice neutral creep auras and spells to help in ganks and teamfights.
Anyone have tips for shadow shaman, lich, tidehunter or ogre magi?
Anyone have tips for shadow shaman, lich, tidehunter or ogre magi?
That blink dagger in + ulti thing you did earlier with tidey was a work of art, if that helps
For Ogre Magi always get Arcane Boots and/or Soul Ring. Skill build is basically max Fireblast and then Ignite. Get Ult when possible. Bloodlust is skilled last but if your team has heavy right clickers then an early point can be useful. Force Staff is core on him also because it gives you more intelligence, utility, and some initiation strength. Don't auto-cast Bloodlust but try to use it as much as possible when you have the mana for it. Don't get Aghs unless you've gotten some items to boost your mana. You can wreck shit early on but you kind of have to rely on Multicast for teamfight strength, so roam around and help your teammates, trying for an earlier win. Buy wards and any other similar support items. Seriously you are worse than Hitler if you don't buy wards as him. If you're doing well Orchid Malevolence is great on him. Attack speed since you can hit fairly decently for a support, some much welcomed mana regen, and a great active. You're pretty item independent besides some items to give you mana so buy whatever else your team needs.
For Ogre Magi always get Arcane Boots and/or Soul Ring. This is okay, but there are exception. If you are mid, a bottle may be more effective, since it will give you enough regen for your low-cost spells and also allow you to bottle runes for ganking. Skill build is basically max Fireblast and then Ignite. Get Ult when possible. One level of Ignite is generally enough, since the slow scales extremley poorly and the damage is negligible no matter what. Q/W/Q/E/Q/R/Q/Ex3 is generally the best build. Bloodlust is skilled last but if your team has heavy right clickers then an early point can be useful. Wrong. Force Staff is core on him also because it gives you more intelligence, utility, and some initiation strength. I wouldn't say CORE, but it is a very good item for him. Blink will also work if your team is hurting for initiation, Don't auto-cast Bloodlust but try to use it as much as possible when you have the mana for it. Don't get Aghs unless you've gotten some items to boost your mana. You can wreck shit early on but you kind of have to rely on Multicast for teamfight strength, so roam around and help your teammates, trying for an earlier win. these are all good advice. Furthermore, don't get Aghs unless your team is low on stuns or they need you for the additional damage. Buy wards and any other similar support items. Seriously you are worse than Hitler if you don't buy wards as him. Yes. When you try to carry with Ogre, you are giving Hitler a piggyback ride. If you're doing well Orchid Malevolence is great on him. Attack speed since you can hit fairly decently for a support, some much welcomed mana regen, and a great active. True enough, but it's team dependent. If the team has casters that are making your bumhole sore, grab an orchid. Other good choices are Sheep, Shiva's, Drum, or Even Vlad's if your team has a lot of melee power but they don't have their own lifesteal. You're pretty item independent besides some items to give you mana so buy whatever else your team needs. Yep.

cheap lifesteal that upgrades into satanic if it gets to super lategame
I don't think anyone would upgrade to satanic. Isn't that one of the worst upgrades compared to other high tier upgrades?

How are both support and carry Sven built? I've recently come across the Freelancer's Finery bundle and I would like to learn him since he seems easy enough and fun.
One more question. Playing omni knight at the moment, he's awesome. Once I get Mek, Arcaneboots + Soulring do I get next? Vlads aura? Blade mail(I already have like 6 buttons to press, not sure i want another active :v:)?

Wards, dust, sentries, etc. Want some extensions for awesome support time? Drums, vlads, force staff, Blink dagger(very situational) perfect positioning tool for a guardian angel or offensive heal. Getting focused on? Blademail/Ghost Scepter. [editline]6th June 2012[/editline]
How are both support and carry Sven built? It goes something along the lines of Power treads, battlefury, hyperstone, BKB, crit, AC, upgrade crit, heart. Support Sven items is Drums, Blink Dagger, and stack bracers

If you are playing a support Sven and don't have an urn, you better have a teammate with an urn.
If you are a ganker need the manaregen and you're not going for an Urn, get Medallion. Makes kills alot easier to score and you still get the manaregen. Usually a core item on Beastmaster or Gondar (Bounty Hunter).
When playing Omniknight.. Should I go for mandatory Arcane Boots, then the Sacrificial Ring then finally Heart of Tarrasque? (I go for Mekansm and Drums if somebody else didn't get them) Getting the Heart third isn't too easy, but once I get it I can take a fair bit of damage, and also damage people if they try to get me.
When do I use/level Morph with Morphling?
When do I use/level Morph with Morphling?
Been autoattacked and you are escaping? Morph to strenght, wanna farm fast/dps like pyscho and you know you are safe? Morph to agility. At the end of the game you should have really 0 points in strenght tho, and depend mainly on the strenght points your items give you, so you do godlike amount of damage with Ethereal Blade/Adaptive strike.
Is it a good idea to build Lion with a bit more tanky items since he can get mana without any problems with the Mana Drain and the Tranquil Boots work really well with him. By tanky I mean stuff like Blademail and Shiva's Guard.
