  • I'm so cold.... I've been waiting for so long! Anyway, yeah, if you actually post back, you still planning to work on the laser stool or move on to bigger things? (Also, i noticed we have smartness replaced with posts! Woot!)
  • Well first of all i'd like to know 1) where were you??? i wasted 5 mins of my life posting on this thread to no avail 2) there are no bugs at the moment, only that when you have a laser and turn it on and have it moving (like on my laser minigun) the lasers create wierd shadows all round the map :S 3) The only thing that i could suggest for improvement on this mod is some better effects, maybe custom made ones...

Well there are weird rendering errors like the beam rendering behind some props, etc. Also I'm nearly finished with the Crystal SENT.   • Yay! Madjawa = Awesome! Also, i mentioned a bug before, if you put a laser on a crate, and turn it on, it will start to pull the crate.

I have a nice one-shot effect frame by frame, but it's in ROT format and I have no idea how to convert it into a useable format. * Sorry for bringing this up YET AGAIN, but here are some nice effects. I'm still trying to figure out a bug with the laser bounding boxes (laser randomly disappearing and sometimes seems to be behind props)

  • This mod is still going strong and it's great! I still use this alot and my Doctor Who mod can use this as well (and yes, it does have persmission)!
  • Hmm... Madjawa, can you make any of these effects yourself?? if not then you could always ask some other people. like people involved in the stargate mod and/or spacebuild enhancement project Dr.FattyJr made some really epic effects for the Stargate Overloader pack if you want to ask him...

I'll change it back to the helibomb until I find/make a proper model for the crystal.
  • Can i make a request? would the Laser be able to be projected from the centre or front of the emitter prop rather than the rear of it?? it can cause problems when you weld the emmitter to a moving prop. also it makes it so you cannot intersect props with the emmitter if you want to push it into a prop slightly Would it be possible to make another Stool, where you click on an emmitter and then to another prop, and then the laser from that emmitter will ignore the selected prop(s) this would open oppertunities for this mod greatly :)
  • I would love to see a different laser that can act as a security system (both wire and non-wire :D) You have the laser emitter like the original, but it does no damage and also you have a reciever, which you point the laser too... When the reciever does not recieve anything it outputs a 1 in wire and/or does something :D (non-wire) What ya think? Also: I could try modeling a crystal and perhaps a laser emitter, but i haven't had any luck getting models into the game so far :(

I'll give it another go. Furthermore, you can set damage to 0 and use the "Hit" output of the laser.   • Updated to revision 13. I added the ignore thing. You have to right click with the laser STOOL on the laser (or crystal) then on the entity you want it to ignore (works on props, players, ...). If you click on the world, it makes the laser/crystal ignore you :)
