  • I have sinned, I haven't installed this mod since I cleaned my Garrysmod :(. I want to try the Stagate compatibility again though :).

This is a mathematical issue along orientations and matrices for rotating stuff. Also nice work with the latest updates.
  • this is a great mod, i love it, but i notised when i have a couple lasers going at once i gat some pretty bad lag, i would like some more options on it like turning the collide with wall effect off, i think that's some of it, so overall, really great mod but i would like to see it more old-computer freindly
  • A while ago I thought about requesting the lasers push things a little, but then I realized it could be exploited as a form of propulsion: the target is welded to the laser, which means it would continously accelerate until reaching terminal velocity. So pushing props is a nay. Damaging props would be abused??? Then what is a laser for if you can't destroy stuff with it?!
  • He means mingebags just picking up lasers and raping contraptions people probably spent hours on.
  • Make it admin only? or give an admin option to disable damage from lasers? i dont know if that is possible... but to have the admin able to toggle between prop-damaging and not would be epppic
  • Updated to revision 16 : I recoded a great amount of the crystal, it should have less bugs now. Also, you can now change the max laser bounces with a convar (laser_maxbounces) and there is an effect when the laser goes through a stargate (just the normal effect) Also, in my opinion, if you want to have prop damaging, you should get an addon like GCombat or CDS. But I might add a convar to enable/disable prop disintegrating.

  • Yes, i still get that sometimes. And only when i use this mod for prolonged amounts of time. only happens on either single or multiplayer... can't remember which :S
  • What were you doing when it happened? I can't reproduce it, and I'd really like to fix it
  • Just generally using the lasers with lots of mirrors. It first happened when i tryed to create a laser fence... usng 5 emitters and 4 mirrors. (one in each corner.)

As for the effects, I'm not really good at doing textures (I need one that can be custom colored, like ropes).
  • for the laser propulsion you could add an admin option (if possible) to disallow laser propulsion I really like the idea An idea for LS: make it so you can turn the laser int energy (just a suggestion) also I use TortoiseSVN and cant download "Error Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to MKACTIVITY"
  • Someone on my server kept toggling the laser on and off untill my server crashed. Hope it helps.

  • No offence, but did you just find out about the Hue/Saturation on photoshop or something?
  • Can you add a color option (maybe with alpha) for the laser and maybe add "R", "B" and "G" wire inputs for the red, blue and green in the color? If you want you can add a "A" wire input for the alpha. I hope you will add this. :)

  • WOW they are epic win... CAN HAS WANTING.. and something more epic would be to have those beams blend with the emmitter/contact point so they dont look 2D [img]http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/supcom/images/thumb/e/ed/Monkeylord_insitu.jpg/800px-Monkeylord_insitu.jpg[/img] Notice how there is an effect that smothers the emmitter, and also one at the contact point to mask the 2D nature of the beam. if this could be implemented into those beams above, then that would be the best advance in this mod since mirrors and the crystal.

Where did you get them?
