• There was a version of this, I remember seeing Absolute Zero and KuroNeko playing with it on Kuro's server, that had a different model. Looked like a panel but the ends curved back, like this:
// || \\
It was a lot better than just an M. :)

If you find that model and it's in the main hl2 model gcf then I might consider changing it tp that.

 • Hot damn, you people should learn to ask. I had this remade within 2 weeks of GMod10 coming out, just I didn't release it because I couldn't work on Lua stuff for a while. You didn't even give a sales pitch. Edit: Hang on, I'll find my version. I attached it to this post - can anyone see it? Just a hint; if you're going to recreate it, at least drop me a PM.

No-one thought to PM me regardless? Meh, I'll release mine when I get back into scripting soon. Or you could click this and see if it works. Here's mine. Addon format, extract it to garrysmod/garrysmod/addons Edit: Problem with the new model is that it doesn't stop bullets. Aside from that, it's much better as a bridge.

 • I'm sure that's a compliment. Also, apologies for jacking the thread Vampired, it just kinda happened. But my M-Way has a sliding out animation :3: . I will get back into coding. I will finish the M-Way to a satisfactory conclusion. I will make something awesome. I guarantee it.

Could you make it so every MWay that is created has the owner of the original person who created it. Because at the moment prop protection sees it as "N/A" (except for the ACTUAL one you spawned) and anyone can destroy my Mways. Adam

 •
I'm sorry but it looked cool.
I forgive you :3: Anyway, the map in the video is called "cubix". I believe there's a link to it in the request thread for this very SENT.

 • Oh dear, my brain just asploded with an epic idea. Bendable MWay? A version of it (maybe a STool to spawn it) that allows you to set the number of segments it expands to, and an angular offset for each segment. Say, you tell it to spawn 90 segments, each with an offset of one degree vertical (I would say Z axis but that wouldn't really work because you can rotate the MWay) and upon use it would slide each piece out as normal, then before that piece slides its child piece out it turns itself upwards by one degree. So that would then make a half-pipe piece. And then make one with flexing on horizontal and vertical, -180 to 180 degrees total. And settable numbers of segments. Then work out the flex of each piece by dividing the amount of flex on both horizontal and vertical axes by the number of segments. I can just see it now, an MWay path turning a barrel roll. :3: ...wait, my brain asploded. *hrrk* If only it was possible to make the player lock to the surface of the MWay, like using the magnetic boots in Ratchet and Clank.

 •
Hey, that's a great idea, and Magnetic boots would come in handy here...just like Ratchet and Clank. :3:
Only way it'd be possible is to somehow give each panel an independent gravitational pull, which would be hell on your CPU. However I have to say that a sphere made of MWays (say about 32 of them set to make a half pipe of 90 segments each, set in a ring shape with a portal button pedestal in the center, all the MWays parented to this. When pressed it uses all the MWays at once, causing them to expand into a sphere. Then have a keep-uprighted chair in the center, ballsocketed to a bugbait model that's also parented to the button pedestal! Then roll around in it. Like a giant hamster ball. :downs:

 •
Uhm, like the stacker?
Well..I understand what he means, and..yes and no, Yes, like the stacker as in how it turns and stuff, but no, as in it slides it like the MWay does, not like the stacker that does it all at once.
