  • Yes, this is another one of my old SWEPs remade for gmod 10. But this SWEP works almost entirely differently. You can even make them attack eachother! [i]Pros:[/i] Allows for easy control of zombies, and for attacking other zombies and players that zombies would normally ignore [i]Cons:[/i] Slow rate of fire; zombies can't go everywhere or very quickly [b]Reload:[/b] Call down evil lightning to where you're looking. Anything within a small radius of the lightning will probably be killed [i]Pros:[/i] Highly damaging, allows more zombies to be raised [i]Cons:[/i] Wastes possible life siphon victims, friendly fire can be deadly [b]Use:[/b] Drain the life force out of anything you're looking at (and that's close enough). You can drain life until your hitpoints are 500. [B]BEFORE DOWNLOADING PLEASE READ:[/B] [b]- To reduce the storm's size, go to the top of the script and find the variable called 'opt'. It defaults at 2, change to 0 to remove the storm entirely. It is a multiplier, so be careful! - To use the reload function, you must hold it down until the lightning strikes. I've been getting some confusion with this. - You must raise zombies from ragdolls, you can't just spawn them then and there.[/b] _______________________________________________________________________ [b]:siren:Bugs!:siren:[/b] - The lightning storm will fog up the place if you're inside a building. I kind of did this on purpose, but it lags. (very frequent, but negligible) - Sometimes your evil light aura doesn't get removed when holstering the weapon. (sometimes occurs, very annoying) - Storm position can get messed up (rarely happens, but it's annoying and ugly) - Zombies can turn against you ([b]very[/b] rare, only happened once to me, but very bad) - Lightning positions get messed up (only in maps with small skyboxes) - Storm lags when you look right at it - Antlion guards cannot die from the life siphon (They don't lose health, you just gain health) [code]INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ 1.   • Some of its stuff requires sv_cheats, but it turns it on automatically. This gun is admin-only, so you won't have power struggles on servers.

  • The part where it turns on cheats doesn't seem to work anyway, but it does turn them off. Heh, during testing I managed to convert an entire combine army into zombies, starting with about 5 zombies (each time they killed someone I'd raise his body and so on). [b]One thing I forgot to mention: In case of headcrabs, primary fire possesses them to your side.[/b]

  • very fun swep, some glitches I noticed was that the zombies don't want to attack Antlion Guards and I sometimes can't get the laser (reload) to work. Also, the w_model has a typo [lua]SWEP.WorldModel = "models/weapons/w_pherepod.mdl"[/lua] Some constructive feedback would be to make the smoke over you a model with an animated material (like combine shield material)because I get like 10 FPS when I look up, and less smoke that surrounds you because it can sometimes get in the way. Anyway, this is a very nice SWep and I think you should continue making unique scripts like this. :D

  • I've just tried this yesterday. When I attempted to raise zombies from corpses, it didn't work, I only could get it to work if a roller mine killed the person. But then again I was only doing it on NPC's, or will it work with other players? Awesome SWEP! :)

Here's some console stuffs: LC: Error: [Scripted Entity Function] weapons/weapon_zombielord/shared.lua:485: attempt to index global 'unholylight' (a nil value) LC: Error: [Scripted Entity Function] weapons/weapon_zombielord/shared.lua:485: attempt to index global 'unholylight' (a nil value) LC: weapons/weapon_zombielord/shared.lua:498: attempt to index global 'zombiestorm' (a nil value) I use SS, lots of different mods/addons/randomness, so it could be any number of confliction errors. The only thing that does work is the life siphoning, I hear the sounds and see the red glow too, and when I hold it, it's a error. When I left click, you know, red light goes in different directions, but nothing happens.

Also, antlion guards are wierd and glitch up with this SWEP, I don't know why. Antlion guards would decimate zombies anyway. You're not getting 10 FPS from the smoke aura, but from the particles in the smokestack thunderstorm. Awesome SWEP! :)[/QUOTE] I was kind of taking advantage of the fact that in gmod 10, any NPC you kill makes a prop_ragdoll of itself. But some NPCs make 'ghost ragdolls' instead, that don't count and thus can't be raised. The same goes for players unfortunately, so you can't raise your friends as zombies :(. As long as you don't look right at it, it shouldn't lag too bad.
