Here is a new one, it's the F35 Jet fighter. It has 4 different weapons. Turret, missiles, bombs and homing missiles. [b]Turret[/b] Shoots ordinary bullets. Works on both air and ground targets. The turret might not seem to be very powerful but you shouldn't underestimate it. You can use countermeasures on homing missiles but you can't dodge a bullet. [b]Missiles[/b] The missiles just goes straight forward. Works best on ground targets since it's hard to hit other planes because they don't stay still very often. There is also a cool down on the missiles. It will regenerate after a little while. [b]Bombs[/b] They drop to the ground and explode, there is not much more to say. They also have a cool down like the missiles but it takes more time for them to regenerate. Works best on ground targets. [b]Homing Missiles[/b] You start locking on a target, wait for the jet to lock completely then you just launch the missiles. The missiles will follow it's target until it hits it unless they are using countermeasures. There is a slight chance that the missiles will ignore the countermeasures. If someone have shot a homing missile that is locked you your jet you will hear an alarm. You can lock on any type of vehicle (including seats) and players. Works on both air and ground targets. [b]Health & Alarms[/b] You don't have any type of instrument to indicate the health of the jet so you will have to depend on the alarms and your feeling instead. There is three different alarm stages. In the first stage (health below 200) you will just hear a buzzing noise. You will also notice that the jet will shake a little bit. In the second stage (health below 100) you will hear a more intense alarm, the jet will also start to shake more violently. In the third and last stage (health below 50) the alarm will be very intense and the jet will start to fall to the ground. You don't have much time because the plane will start to damage itself (because of all the fires). You can escape certain death by bailing out (requires Bail Out addon) or you can try to get your revenge before you die. Directory: "Steam\steamapps\ACCOUNT NAME\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons" [i][b]Why are the crosshair moving?[/i][/b] There is a slight update delay. The crosshair also adjust depending on distance. Example: The missile weapon has two crosshair. When you are close to a wall they will separate, they show the exact location on where the missiles will hit. If you are far away it will almost look like there only is one crosshair. [i][b]Is there a way to toggle the landing gear?[/i][/b] Nope. The jet figures that out by itself so you don't have to bother pressing a button everytime you want to make them go up or down. [i][b]How do I lock on a target?[/i][/b] Select the homing missiles, put the crosshair on your target, press "suit zoom". If you couldn't successfully lock on the target just try again. When the target is locked you can fire the missiles. [highlight][i][b]Can i edit your code and make my own jet?[/i][/b][/highlight] Yes you may but just don't release a copy that will replace the addon. Make it as a separate entity and change the model. I have added more comments than I usually do, I hope it will help. Also made a small guide about making your own jet in the code. [release] [i][b]Controls:[/b][/i] [b]W & S[/b] Pitch [b]A & D[/b] Roll [b]Secondary Fire + A or D[/b] Yaw [b]Primary Fire[/b] Use current weapon [b]Jump[/b] Increase throttle [b]Walk[/b] Decrease throttle [b]Sprint[/b] Change weapon [b]Score board[/b] Use countermeasures [b]Suit Zoom[/b] Lock on target (while using homing missiles) [/release] [b]Tips & tricks[/b] The efficiency of the rudders are depending on the speed of the jet. Some becomes more sensitive at slow speeds and the other way around. You only need to use full throttle while taking of or if you need to get somewhere fast. 60% - 75% throttle is recommended to keep a high speed and you will still be able to do tight turns. It may sometimes be hard to lock on a target that's in the air. Don't give up, just try until it works. Switching to the turret may also be a good idea. Are you hearing an annoying and stressful alarm? Someone may have shot a homing missile at you. Use countermeasures, the missiles will most likely follow them instead of you. Keep in mind that the timing is very important, use the countermeasures early and the missiles will ignore them. Decreasing the speed will make the jet shake less if you are damaged. Want to have a third person view? Just weld a camera on the jet. You will still be able to see the crosshair. Having problem getting out from it? Hold down the use button and the jet will force the player to leave the seat. I was gliding over some water, the plane touched the surface, and it disappeared and I got this error message entities/sent_sakariasjet_nonadmin/init.lua:373: Tried to use invalid object (type IPhysicsObject) (Object was NULL or not of the right type) Then, I tried to spawn another, it fell through the world, the game crashed, and a window opened saying IVP Failed at U:\hl2_rel\src\ivp\ivp_utility\ivu_vhash.cxx 157 Thought you should know...

Changed map and it worked. The new Freespace_Revolution map has that "bug" or whatever you could call it.

It's like this. You put the jet in the water and then it suddenly dissapears (or gets removed). The entity tries the fetch it's own physics object and I just can't find it because something removed it. This error shouldn't even be possible. (check the code below) The firs line is line 370 (means that line 373 is line 4 in the code below). [lua] if self.Entity:WaterLevel() == 0 && self.DieOnce == 0 then local entphys = self.Entity:GetPhysicsObject() local speed = self.Entity:GetPhysicsObject():GetVelocity():Length() [/lua] What does this mean? It means that the entity runs code when it's submerged which it shouldn't. It also can't find it's own physics object. Why? Only God knows.
What if you just add a code to purposely remove the jet when it touches water, therefore bypassing this mess?
Have you ever considered using fin like simulations for the plane? Just so that if we rolled to the right it would turn to the right in a much more realistic matter.

Wow! Amazing vehicles you make! How about diffrent breakable cars and you can also shoot out of? Or machine gun bunkers. I mean theres tons of crappy low poly terribley made unrealstic veicals that you sit upside down but with that coding talent you could make something much better. I think you would be able to make some modern war team deathmatch gamemode for gmod! I mean someone would make the sweps, gamemode and work it all out but you already made awesome veicals right? Well, bravo any ways mode or no game mode this is one epic heckofa plane. And wouldn't the might be made Hawx mod floating around work so much better if they just modified your coding a little?

You made a perfect bailout system a fabulous heli an amazing plane plus loads of other amazing sweps/entities Your on your way to making perfect set script codes for anyone to easily make their spawn able vehicles of their dreams Now make me an APC/Tank/AATank The models would be easy to get and Im sure it would be far easier to script a ground vehicle than one that flies! Then you may rest Lua King :)

I love this mod been using it a lot! You should keep it up your a top moder on my list. just a suggestion try a F-22 raptor, or a blackhawk heli.

Couldn't use the StarChick971 models because they had spaces in the names and that makes the ent unable to find the models.
