• Halo 3: ODST Drop Pod V1

This is a Drop pod launcher that launches drop pods from halo:odst =D it is admin only because it can be abused by mingbags. it works best upright and the pod trys to restabalize itself when it has it's chute open or thrusters on. this is entity based and is NOT a scripted vehicle. Cheese got feedback for u: Once im in the pod i accidentally pressd my suicide key first my view stayed in the falling pod and spawn in the pod and cant get out and the sounds loops then this message in the top right corner " ...ns\odst_drop_pod\lua\entities\odst_drop_pod\init.lua:459: attempt to index field 'podsound' (a nil value)" but if only happens before the 1st state!
i find that even on automatic on a high map, freespace, that its a hard landing

[/QUOTE] Yah that's what i mean it tends to take your health down to 70 from 100 on an auto landing. ill just have to practice on manual a lot. good work on the pod though!
i get a really weird thing when i launch the pod. i know about the view problem but does the view problem make your view lag behind the pod really badly. mine does. would like to know if its me or the view overrides.

i like the idea of the whole thing :) its just the view that kills me like eating shredded glass :( but you got a DL either way ! :)
This is awesome, just like your battlefield pod. Sadly the camera view is horribly messed up.

Cheese, I don't think it's an addon that conflicts with the view. In singleplayer, my pod works gloriously. But in multiplayer, it targets my friends in third person (and if no one is in the server, the view just simply lags in the pod). And if you're thinking another addon is conflicting, any idea what type? I don't have any view mods, if that's what you're thinking.

How would one spawn it in a map? Like I put the pod launcher entity in the map and it falls everytime :saddowns:

Your BF2142 pod is also really sensitive to other addons as well. *UPDATE* Okay, the pod is fixed and now works in multiplayer. Any view mod (Helicopter sents, BF2142 pod, or anything of the sort) will fuck up the pod just like you said. Now for the pod to be more maneuverable and to use the Halo 3 ODST model (don't forget, the Halo 3 ODST pod's hatch doesn't blow off unless it's an emergency). Thanks again, Cheese.
