How does AlarmZ work?
Uses RT camera. Someone answer please:
Okay so I have PCMod2, properly installed on my DarkRP 2.3.5 server. Everything works except 3 things: - The notepad is unable to save anything (i press save and nothing happens) - Printers always print out blank pages - I've never been able to set up a router network no matter what I tried
1) Can you get the serverside console log, with debug mode ON, before and after clicking the save button please? 2) The printing thing is a result of the not saving thing. The server isn't even recieving all the data properly, so it sends nothing to the printer. 3) Explain.
3) He probably set it up wrong, i dunno, i haven't tried to use it yet...
when i try saving the document ULib/server/hook.lua:139: attempt to index local 'gm' (a nil value) when i try printing the document on a network 1 = netPrintDocument 2 = PCMod2: Parsed packet with pass: 1 PCMod2: Parsed packet with pass: 2 Spawn: Entity [159][pcmod_document] sry if some one else already posted but just to make sure
Suspected it would be something to do with ULX + Datastream. Not sure if this will work, but try this: 1) Navigate to garrysmod/addons/pcmod2/lua/pcmod/ 2) Open the file called 'sh_datastream.lua' 3) At the end of line 37, create a new line, and in it put:
local GAMEMODE = GAMEMODE
4) Save the file, reupload to your server 5) Try again
Should this fix being unable to save files on MP?
It attempts to fix that, yes. Whether or not it works is something else entirely...
It attempts to fix that, yes. Whether or not it works is something else entirely...
nope nothing didnt work
got his now when saving pcmod/ssdevices/base.lua:835: attempt to index global 'datastream' (a nil value) when printing on network pcmod/ssdevices/base.lua:835: attempt to index global 'datastream' (a nil value)1 = netPrintDocument 2 = PCMod2: Parsed packet with pass: 1 PCMod2: Parsed packet with pass: 2 PCMod2: Parsed packet with pass: 2 Unknown command: pc_locked Spawn: Entity [78][pcmod_document] when printing local i got pcmod/ssdevices/base.lua:835: attempt to index global 'datastream' (a nil value)Unknown command: pc_locked Spawn: Entity [79][pcmod_document]
Ok, nevermind, remove that then. I will continue to look into it.
ok thanks

I think you should make a little EXE or Flash to make programs. Like 'Does this use networks' kind of like the BOFC Swep Generator
I think you should make a little EXE or Flash to make programs. Like 'Does this use networks' kind of like the BOFC Swep Generator
Nice idea, but a generator thing would be too limiting - unless it was styled somewhat like Visual Basic.NET. Drag and drop controls sort of thing. Heh, if you can make it, go right ahead, but I'm guessing it will be alot more work than making PCMod itself ^^
Depends how much far you go into it... You'd have to learn Lua too and how PCmod works and such. So, it'd be alot of hassle, but it could be pretty awesome. I have very limited VB knowledge. xD.
Would be nice if we could use swf's on the pcs like put a swf inside a specific folder and then you can add that swf as a program to the computer using a swf installer tool :)

Can I get on the internet with this? If so, could any one explain how? Sorry if I sound stupid.
Can I get on the internet with this? If so, could any one explain how? Sorry if I sound stupid.
In short. No
In long. Read the thread. Also, i don't think PCMod 2 is an ISP either.
Sorry, my server relies too much on stability and sv_downloadurl, so I can't make small changes like enabling debug mode on the fly. However, I do have the problem with being unable to save or print documents. Probably related to this problem, networking is impossible to get working.

And you can enable logging there too that will log everything PCMod prints to console. The saving document thing is a datastream+ulx problem, and datastream happens to be intergerated into GMod now. I will release 2.0.3 soon, and that will switch to GMod's version of datastream. If that doesn't fix it, then it's officially ULX's problem and not mine, since ULX is basically breaking a GMod feature that my code relies upon.
Oh, i just realised i got rid of ULX for NewAdmin, I'll go try PCMod later. Right, on singleplayer at the moment, I can save a notepad, but when i print an unsaved file, it removes what i've typed and it prints an empty page. Toggle Power also doesn't work. Tested Multiplayer, Right, Save works same as single player, so yeah, it's ULX. But next problem. When i was playing, i noticed i didn't have a crowbar or any weapons, (I always press 1 three times to get a physgun, so you can imagine the amount of times i looped through grav and phys...) and when i tried to get the install disc via the install swep, nothing happened. Nada, no ping from the tool gun and no Install Swep. Which leads me to NewAdmin.
I just downloaded PCMod today and I put in my addons folder like I am supposed to, and it doesn't work! Everyone who downloaded it did the same thing and it worked like it was supposed to, but it won't work for me! Am I doing something wrong? WHY WON'T IT WORK?!?!
NewAdmin will restrict weapons, if you don't have "access" Best way to fix it is read the thread and find the "give ownership" command :) ASSMod works fine for pcmod
NewAdmin will restrict weapons, if you don't have "access" Best way to fix it is read the thread and find the "give ownership" command :) ASSMod works fine for pcmod
I don't have NewAdmin, but thanks for warning me!
Is it possible to fix it so that it works without ULX? Many people use ULX (i'm just waiting until NewAdmin is useasble) thanks!
NewAdmin is useable. And i guess i forgot to add myself to the ownership list. My bad. Also Ilovedreamcast110, If you want help, be more damn spesific. "OMFG IT DON'T WORK" doesn't help anyone. Can you give us a clue as to why you think it doesn't work? Can't you find the tools? Can't find the PCMod tab? Can't use the tools? Give us a clue and we can give one back. Or at least try to.
PCMod 2.0.3 Availible It is not on the svn yet - You do not need a previous version for this to work. - You may override your existing PCMod 2 folder. - You may NOT have PCMod 1 installed as well. == CHANGE LOG == FIX: Serverside errors with ChatServ FIX: Incompatabilities with ULX (hopefully) FIX: Routers not forwarding packets. All routers should work no matter how they are connected ADD: concommands to reload drivers, pc_drv_reload <driver file name>/pc_drv_reloadall. These are admin only FIX: Packet id not properly assigned FIX: Improved the pc_getsvsmessages stuff. It now only requires the password parameter (pc_getsvsmessages <password>) ADD: Save Logs Now button for clients and server on !pcsettings (Works with log saving off) NOTE: Driver reloading is intended for developer use. Any loaded changes only take effect on new entities
