• I just updated and did some further tests: The first one came after I resaved with notepad, the 2nd one was after I changed a char with notepad++ (just resaving with it doesn't corrupted the file), the 3rd also came after a char changing in the middle of the file.
[addons\adv duplicator 2\lua\advdupe2\sv_codec.lua:441] attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value [@addons\adv duplicator 2\lua\advdupe2\sv_codec.lua:171] expected value, got EOF [addons\adv duplicator 2\lua\advdupe2\sv_codec.lua:346] attempt to perform arithmetic on a nil value
This time they were in hint-buzz and in the console as server side errors. The handle for the empty dupe data works. And the errors in the toolgun and in the Download are also seeming to be gone. :downs:

 • Oh, right sorry I forgot about that. Adding things to the bug tracker will always keep us reminded about everyone's bugs. I will look into it Unslinga.

 • Thanks. This basically means you can build anything save it, work on it another time.

 • Not sure if this is something to be fixed in your addon... or in Falco's. But when trying to spawn stuff I've built, Falco's prop protection thinks I'm spamming props and doesn't allow me to paste my dupe. Unlike regular adv dupe, which works fine. Not sure if this exception is coded into Falcos prop protection or not... any ideas?

 •
Thanks. This basically means you can build anything save it, work on it another time.
I had found this bug before and spent hours trying to fix it. And I just spent hours trying to fix it. I think it's a bug with gmod but I'm not sure. I'm going to add an option to disable spawn protection in the expereimental section for a temporary fix. [editline].[/editline] I finally figured it out. It does appear to be a bug in gmod and its also causing other problems. • I get the error: Cannot Open file at the Moment and there are no more files in the foldermenu, but in data/advdupe2/mysteamid/ the files are there...

The second thing is from you hosting a listen server.

 • At the moment I'm running this on my server however it doesn't appear to be loading any public dupes of AdvDupe 1 files. Is this intended behaviour or something that's being worked on?
 • Avatar of -TB-
 • Intended behavior. Working between the 2 directories is kind of difficult. You can put the AD1 public folder in the AD2's though.

 • Im sorry TB, but..... It just doesnt work. My chassis rip apart and ballsockets are very wobbly. When spawned in the old TBDupe, they work fine. Keep up the good work though

 • Ive got a new error while pasting my vehicle with the duplicator. Posted on the Google issue page: http://code.google.com/p/advdupe2/issues/detail?id=3 Is either a feature or a bug - its annoying :(

Happens because it never occurred to me that Lua would give table addresses any differently on Linux. Could someone with a Mac check to see what running
lua_run print({})
spits out? EDIT: Fixed at least the Linux part. [editline]2nd November 2011[/editline] Is anybody experiencing Issue #4 (not being able to scroll through all files in the browser)? If so, how many files are there? Are they in a folder?
no, a new car chassis that wks in TB, not ad2
Should be fixed, if not its a conflict with TB's duplicator and you'll need to delete the autorun folder in TB's Duplicator.
 • Don't know if it's a bug or I'm just being stupid. But I am having problems with reading dupes on a linux dedicated server. People can save just fine and the files end up in the folder on the server, but reading the files does not work. Even right after saving something, if you click "Update" the just uploaded file just vanishes and it shows a empty file browser again. As a workaround I've started saving things, then download from server and delete from server (to not clutter it with files). Then re-uploading, pasting and deleting when you want to paste something. Have of course tried singleplayer and hosted servers on windows machine, and that worked fine.

The user who starts the server (Hopefully NOT root) need to own the gameserver directory to read files. Use the "chown" command to set the owner of your server directorys and files.

But the install and setup of the server was done with a user made especially for the server, and checking with ls -l the user is the owner of everything in there from what I can tell. I also tried setting the data/advdupe2 folder where everything is saved to full read/write access for anyone without any luck. I am kinda hoping it is some easy oversight like this though. Any other ideas?
