• This looks really amazing, downloading the packs now and gonna join as soon as they're done. And there's a guy doing an offer for hosting gmod websites, it might just be forums I'm not sure, but you could talk to him about it http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=942749

 • I must say, even tho i hate RP gamemodes, this one looks really impressive. I will definetly check this out. Downloading content now. Whats with the s.t.a.l.k.e.r. Exoskeleton models though? :v:

 •
It's not really RP though, it's actually more like a small scale MMORPG.
Quoted for amazing truthness

 • I must say i'm quite impressed. The thirdperson is really fluent, it's almost like playing Battlefront. I love this gamemode. It just needs more quests, i'm level 8 now and out of quests. Oh, and a stormtrooper model.

Harder quests that are impossible to do unless you level up some more.

I think I remember someone saying the exact same thing before, and everyone replied saying "that didn't make any sense!" But anyways, he's correct, get to level 10 and you'll find harder quests

 • I've got an SVN up! I'm not sure if it's going to explode or not, but hey it's worth a shot right? https://swsagascontent.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/swsagascontent/ YOU NEED TO MAKE IT SVN CHECK OUT TO Addons/Star Wars Sagas. If you don't have a "Star Wars Sagas" folder in your garrysmod/addons, CREATE ONE AND THEN CHECK OUT TO THERE. This will automatically update as changes are made, so be sure to check it often. I will still include "Content Pack Update" packs separately for those that want the hastle of manually downloading everything.

 • Is there any chance this will be released fully to the community once it's all done? I only play privately with friends, and we've had a blast playing Underdone. The good RPGs never get released, so I'm extremely grateful to polkm. I did join the server a week or so ago, but it was full of jerks and the pings were too high to do anything.

 • I wish you could balance out the skills more.. Brawlers has all the good stuff like stunning and making things go on fire, and they got commando which will also increase their health and damage. While marksmen get all the bad stuff like only specific weapon types, or unrelated things like the extra weight thing. Otherwise, it is a great gamemode, hoping for more quests to appear!

 • I would like to re-iterate this now since people seem to be missing it: THE GAMEMODE IS NOWHERE NEAR FINISHED In fact, it will probably NEVER be finished, because I will always be adding new content to it in all forms. Please, do not gripe about imbalance at the moment. You are in Beta, this is Beta testing. There will be issues. The number one concern is getting a playable game out there while adding important systems and features - Everything else can be changed and tweaked later. Note that the skills you see are not even 1/5 of the planned skills for the game, and that there will be at least ten times more items of every type. /rantoff Now that that's over, here's what I will have to you by today most likely: - The Tatooine Wilderness: A huge expanse of the unknown, filled with resources, enemies (some old and some new) ranging in combat levels from ~6 to ~16. There is a small outpost which houses a ticket master and general goods vendor for ammunition. - Added in the support for the upcoming new website's Holonet (similar to the WoW Armory). This is a back-end system, you won't notice anything in game. Here's what I'm going to try to get added today: - Some new quests for the Tatooine wilderness, and possibly Naboo. - Some new weapons/weapontypes for weaponsmiths to create. - Some new armor/armortypes for armorsmiths to create.

 • This looks brilliant, downloading this. I may be able to help with modelling/texturing and animation. Although at the moment I only use Maya and I'm not familiar with exporting stuff for games, anyone know if I can do that with Maya? Also hats off to you for doing something so ambitious, I hope it works out.

 • Trying out the SVN now.. *The thing comes out as /Star Wars Sagas/swsagascontent/stuff. swsagascontent needs to be moved up one, and renamed to Star Wars Sagas.* Could you add a link to the website on the first post? (And maybe put a big Beta at the top hehe)

 • Servers are down for a bit while I try to sort out problems. Really wish they'd either get datastreams right or just roll back. Don't have an estimated up time for everyone yet.

 • Hey everyone, After alot of extended downtime and hassle trying to optimize code, I finally just rolled the experimental code back to the last working version, but kept the content from the newer versions. As such, I am happy to present to everyone the Tatooine Wilderness. It's up and it's playable, designed for people anywhere from level 5 to 20. There's only a few new item drops at the moment, but that is where my next announcement comes in: I am forming a Content development team. They will be given the snippets of code needed to create items / quests / skills for Star Wars: Sagas. They can then submit the code for final approval and inclusion into the game. Hopefully this way we'll be able to get alot more content out alot quicker, and it'll allow me to focus on more systems, etc. Requirements to join the content development team: Semi-proficcient in LUA, good knowledge of Star Wars and the timeline, good knowledge of BALANCE when creating items and skills, and a good working knowledge of how Star Wars Sagas works. Please contact me via Steam or on the game's website for more info. I'm looking for about 6 people at the moment, and I'll need people specializing in items, quests, skills, and perhaps recipes as well.

 • The new quest menus on the dune sea aren't showing any quests. Instead it shows a lua error about the quest menu.

 • Hey all, Today I released what I am calling "core 2" ( because every time consuming update needs a fancy name). It is a complete rewrite of the game's code which eliminated 90% of the networked variables that were used for alot of things, in the hopes of creating a more stable and optimized base, or "core", to build off of. I've pretty much eradicated all of the nasty glitches from the initial release of Core 2, and we're running super smooth and alot less laggy. Alot of features work better now because of the optimization too! Overall a great success, even if it was a headache for about 2 days of working on it.

 • Just wondering, is this going to be something that we'll never get the server files for? Because that always seems to happen to anything that looks really good, the server files are never released and it just dies. Downloading now, I can't believe I hadn't noticed this before. Looks amazing. Also I see a lot of SWG stuff from the screenshots. Aarrgh, nostalgia attack!

 • This is one of those gamemodes I saw and thought "nahh this will never work", and lo and behold, you proved me wrong. I'm not a fan of star wars myself, but looks like you've done a good job on this.
