First up was my Lua replacement of +showbudget. Next up is to finish the options section at the top there and then I'll be adding a replacement of +showvprof to view detailed information about Lua timings. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/dQwMHIX.png[/thumb]

Oh that, lol that automatically gets posted on my videos, it's in my default settings. Most people don't check descriptions, so I haven't even bothered changing the links. I don't even use the website anymore
What you have done is call SetModel on monster_snark. Joking aside, their movement/targeting clearly needs a lot of work.
Fixed all of their movements and targeting, but they still sometimes circle around their enemy at 100 kph xD

It is.
You can already grab it @ https://github.com/wiox/gmcl_vprof. It's nothing much. It really needs an alternate viewer, though.
That's pretty outdated for the moment.
Imagine one day instead of Let's Plays there'll be Let's Codes and millions of subscribers will just watch a guy code something :v:
Live game development streams have been around for a while now, and can actually be a lot more fun than they sound. Don't knock it til you try it.
it would be nice to have a thousand randomers in the chat to give me ideas [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] bob: make a boat joe: give it turrets ken: make the bullets spawn bouncing babies carl: the babies turn into more boats when in water [editline]8th February 2015[/editline] the chat would only generate stupid ideas like those, but that's fun if you have an audience
it would be nice to have a thousand randomers in the chat to give me ideas
That's generally how it works. I've never streamed my own work before, but I've watched a few streams and someone or even myself from time to time always ends up helping out with a lot of bugfixing.
Live game development streams have been around for a while now, and can actually be a lot more fun than they sound. Don't knock it til you try it.
i think the reason a lot of people dont do it because the viewers might steal code.
[vid]http://a.pomf.se/jzslqe.webm[/vid] fucking source physics, how does it work?
seemed to be some old code laying around, you'll go free this time havok [vid]http://a.pomf.se/zfztkc.webm[/vid] i am in no way in hell making checks for all the points, if nobody has a better idea and i'm not sure how i'd make the classic "hold mouse button to charge shot" mechanic

Store the point order in a table, and just count how far the hit is away from the center of the board, figure out the rotation, and find out which value the throw is by doing a simple table lookup.
How's the texture quality on that thing? Can you even read the numbers?

Since there's 20 pieslices you can figure out that each slice is 18 degrees on a standard dart board. You can use math.deg(math.atan2(x,y)) to figure out the rotation of every dart-hit. Make an array with values for each number and what rotation interval they're at, then just compare the darthit rotation with that and you get what pieslice the dart hit. Calculate then the 2D Length of x,y and then use that to get if it hit a x3 or x2 or x1.
I got an array set up, and I can map it to the rotation now. But.. I have no idea how to play dart properly and scoring so that's gotta be researched first :v:
good idea, rotation could work actually if i could apprehend more than 1-st grade math [t]http://i.imgur.com/7QhIsUR.jpg[/t] it's pretty decent
Here's that help you didn't ask for The alpha and the green distance are the useful bits. I couldn't be arsed to explain ray plane intersection because you can probably use Entity:NearestPoint or w/e. The purple "up" vector is a unit vector (normalised, length == 1) in the up direction of the prop. This is likely to be ent:GetAngles():Up() or something depending on the entity.
thanks for the help, but i understand nothing of that :v: i gave up in maths at like class 6 quality entertainment! i just noticed the point counting was wrong, oh well
But...Trigonometry it's the fun side of the math! I mean...Integrals and math functions are real butthurts
i just can't keep more than one number in my head at the same time, can't do anything that requires concentration i do remember some math from the actionscript 2 era, so that atan2 stuff isn't very hard, and using pi, and sine waves

I legitimately can't believe I got the formula right for cosine and sine on the first try
Cursive still exists?
I can't write as fast when lifting the pen after every letter. I hope it's readable.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/a4eFKxH.jpg[/t] this is strangely addictive :v: got this on my first try today, damn i'm lucky
Cursive still exists?
I thought everyone wrote in cursive...
