•
Also, what map are you running that on? I tried flatgrass and construct but it just looks solid black to me
Works fine for me on both maps apart some flickering due to the material using the wrong shader probably.

 •
Sorry. I'm developing OCD and unless the style is identical to Garry's then I will break my keyboard trying to fix it. I know it's nitpicky, but I don't think Garry's style has varied since he wrote his first line of code, so I try to use it for everything. You said your code was nice. It works and has a JavaScript sort of spacing style, but for me if the code does not have Garry's style, then it cannot be nice. [editline]8th November 2017[/editline] Also, what map are you running that on? I tried flatgrass and construct but it just looks solid black to me.
I appreciate your efforts to keep everyone's code consistent, but your rules are so needlessly pedantic that enforcing them will do more harm than good. And seeing that you've made 150 commits to your code style rules, you really need to make your own guidelines more consistent before shoving them on anyone. Everyone is unique. We evolve. So long as it's readable, optimised, reasonably consistent, and not a total trainwreck; I don't see that big of a problem. Consistency is nice, but ensuring arbitrarily specific rules like perfect spacing is unnecessary.

The only thing I actually changed about the code was the spacing, which was meant to make it look more Garry, since it is Garry's Mod. Also, whenever I add anything to that page it always ends up as a new commit. If I could collapse commits I would, but I'm just trying to cover every possible situation for myself.

 • Hey guys. Thought I'd pop in and mention we've updated the sticky for Gamemode and Addon Releases. Changes in a TL;DR format. -You can now create mega threads for addons/scripts that are in WIP and are going to be public in the future. Release threads are not going anywhere either. -We like the idea of WAYWO continuing to exist you guys are pretty cosy here so we're encouraging WAYWO to be used for discussion that DON'T need a mega thread(aka what this is currently so nothing is changing here). -Playtesting can be organized in a mega thread rather than using Games In Progress which will be soon reworked into something else. -Examples of good and bad(what we expect if you do want to make a mega thread so for little content WAYWO is again as said a good place to be). Feel free to hit me or Shendow up if there's an issue or for any other changes.

 • Typo'd. Woops. I meant What are you working on not What are you morking on.
 •
You can now create mega threads for addons/scripts that are in WIP and are going to be public in the future. • Avatar of Kiwi
 • Well according to the old sticky you were ONLY supposed to post your releases. No WIP threads! However I can see there are a few WIP mega threads and these type of threads should be allowed anyway so they're now completely legal.

Just make sure it has enough content to be presented in a dedicated thread and you do intend on releasing it publicly. If you feel like there's not enough content to showcase then you can just make a quick post in WAYWO. Speaking of which, it's about time I started working on something again, just messing with (more) animations at the moment:
[vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/cliyqg.webm[/vid]
• Sorry for another pointless post:
Yes. That is a function I put into the render library for good reason. Something like that is long overdue anyway, since you are rarely supposed to change only one of the result operators, especially without changing the comparison function itself.
I agree, but the problem is anyone can break global functions with a simple override, and then nobody will be able to figure out the error. If any new users end up using that function and another addon overrides it, it'll just cause more problems that don't need their own thread. EDIT: he added the function as part of the render library, which (from my understanding at least) means anyone could accidentally access it by trying to override the render library. I guess hooks work the same way, but at least local functions give you the opportunity to avoid it

Basically don't harass the author for links to download addons that aren't released yet. If you see anyone make these posts report them thanks.

 • Been working on a Scarab SNPC from Halo 3, the model and animations are made by Mayhem. Its AI isn't bad right now, it will move around and chase the enemy if there is enough space, but it will not move if the enemy is visible and in its attack range. It will also go good with the hunter and elites, especially in areas where the Scarab can't fit, they can take out the enemy for him. Here is a small demonstration video of Scarab, hunters and elites fighting the US military:

 • Was fixing some music-related bugs in my gamemode and decided to add this small music playback rate feature, when you go to menu (or steam overlay):

 • I really want to see just some gameplay of that, the menu pausing keeps getting in the way :v:

Also you should totes m'goats use a tracer to check if the owner is looking into the apartment.

Also - will try and implement the tracer check Thanks :)
 • Ignore the icons on the left, all of those are placeholders because I can't be arsed to find good icons for now. Gonna be used for some kind of in-game shop system [t]https://i.imgur.com/m6ns9Ei.png[/t]

 • Fast convex hull mesh generation, using quickhull algorithm with half-edge data structure. I used starfall cause it won't freeze the whole game if infinite loops occur while developing the code. But the implementation itself is compatible with GLua. It's able to compute the meshes in real time without huge performance drawbacks.
