  • I'd spice up prop protection so that you can select a group any of your 'buddies' can control, so if I build a gun shop, they can help me build that etc but that's it, I can then go build something else without them being able to touch it, so basically - you can prop protection a group of stuff or every prop. Or only a few certain spawned props, that'd be really cool. :)

  • Get rid of errors! Fair enough people don't have certain props installed, but they should still be able to see what the prop looks like and just not be able to spawn it until they do get the packs, because I always make things people can't see :( I can't spice things up with prop packs that aren't really popular because no one would have it, so yeah. No errors would be win.

  • The only thing that was missing in GMOD... You can choose which form of blood you want to paint while using the Paint tool. Seriously this will be helpful to a lot of Posers like me.

ON/Off? a recording camera that saves into a video folder ( Liek Screen Shot sbut for videos) I cant think of much else right now,

  • I'd want the update to make the game a little bit more stable, fix those annoying Lua Viruses, make the weld tool actually weld rather than have stuff flop about, maybe have a seperate tool for the floppy mode. I agree with Jaycob that the wheels should be able to turn and also have a way to change the weight of a prop.

  • One thing I would like is the ability for users to add their own content like animations and rigs/skeletons with their models. Seems odd that it is specifically limited that all the models have to conform to HL2 skeletons. If that were implemented we could probably have tons more player models. Idea coming from Unreal Tournament having worked with it some. Course not sure if this would be possible. Not an expert on how game engines work or why or why not those options are chosen to be "left out"
  • I'D MAKE IT LOAD FREAKING FASTER! IT TAKES WAY TOO LONG! Also I'd like better error handling, so that my game doens't suddenly crash, and then I'd have to start it over again...yuck :(

The model only needs to have the same activity names and several attachment points. [editline]11:08PM[/editline] I'd add some hooks that allow mods to load content from other GCFs without conflicting filenames overriding them.

No errors would be win.[/QUOTE] they can't see them because they don't have them. if they don't have the model/material/etc. the game doesn't know what it looks like. If your hosting the server, make them download the stuff, if not, there isn't much you can do. If the server made someone joining download the models/materials of every person on the server, think how long it would take! (not mentioning the server crashes that would occur to be overloads). tl;dr if they don't have the prop, there is no way for them to see it without downloading it (and then they would have the prop). ruskiarmy; as for text going invisible, that means you either have corrupt files, a mess up addon, or a lua-virus.

  • I'd really like him to remove the limits on map size- It would seriously be way more awesome if we could have like flatgrass double size. It would be way better for jets too, or spacebuild maps.

Similarly, replace the pink/black error texture with gray.[/QUOTE] The thing with these error props is if the error prop is huge and you walk into it, you're stopped before you actually touch the error because it is so big, this shows that the game clearly knows the shape of this error because you can run into it. Why can't it just show a outline or the no texture texture?

  • I don't think it knows the actual shape, cause that's what the model is for. I think is just the Collision model.

  • Downgrade to the half life 2 engine because since the orange box update, all went to hell. Phys_house/temple lags like hell on gmod now, it lags to pieces, and now it's getting worse. :munch:
