• If you were Garry, what would you add in the next update?

  • I would at the very least change the color of the annoying purple and black checkered missing texture thing. It's obnoxious to look at, especially when a map is completely covered in it. Change it to a more solid color, or colors that don't so greatly contradict one another. I would also fix the fact that fire burns [b]under water[/b]. Many of the very basic laws of physics don't seem to apply within Garry's Mod. I would add 100% working versions of both WireMod and the latest version of PHX into Garry's Mod. I find it increasingly annoying when a bunch of the PHX props show up as ERRORS after I downloaded the whole damn pack. Especially annoying in multiplayer servers when many of the PHX props I can't see because for some reason they didn't come in the pack. I would also try to fix many of the game related errors and random crashes (and not any graphical related errors because that's the computer owner's own fault).
  • A lot of stuff talked about in here like better welding and physics related shit is all havok-based and garry probably wouldn't be able to muck with that without making it worse or at all. Havok just isn't that great for realistic physics but I don't know that there's too much out that's moderately better.

The more source content to modify and use, the better.

But you would have to re-connect to a server if you were on it.
  • Garry's Mod is absolutely amazing, and I would be happy if nothing was ever added, but a few of the things that have changed just annoy me. For some reason I can't see over the dashboard of the car anymore. I can't pick things up, which messes with the scripting of the original levels of the game. (Sometimes I like to just play through the original game with GMod.) But most importantly, I cannot stand the fact that I have superhuman running ability. Yes, I know that people will start flaming me for suggesting these things, but these are the only things about GMod that bug me at all. And hey.. You asked.

  • For GMod, add an option to disable dynamic flashlights.(I have a custum flashlight that lights the entire room, not just part of it, but it creates stupid dynamic shadows). And make it so that the camera's secondary fire, if double-tapped, records a .AVI or other video file that Windows Media Player can read. And for Facepunch, I would bring back Instaban, and make it so that if a single post had the words "revert", "back", and "HL2"/"EP1" it would ban the user for a month. So that the whiners will stop whining that they're broke/have a shit PC/etc.
  • A masterserver which supports the Gmod mass. Also to have this mass server connected to Facepunch so that whoever is banned from Gmod is banned from Facepunch I would change alot of shit.

  • I would make a booster tool that spawns your choice of rocket models on the side of props and you could choose the angle you want Make it so water seeps slowy into a cracked in a submarine and stuff like that If you drop a object into water it makes little waves
  • I would try and figure out a way to strengthen welds. So that when you got many props welded together. Things don't sag and freak out. That would be awesome!
  • Ive seen a lot of people posting about realistic water physics and had been thinking a lot about the same for some time now. It's good to know we're on the same page :D
  • Hey, get this: Dynamic water isn't possible in the current Source engine. The [B]only[/B] game that I know that will have water physics, and I don't even know if they're dynamic, will be Hydrophobia. OE-Cake and others of the like don't count.

  • Materials / Spawn icons prechache on join option for multiplayer tab in options. Don't download materials / models check box. Those two things have always bothered me.
