•
No chassis because no steering and no steering because Havok physics. Whenever I hit 86 Kph, the rotor blades glitch and slow down, even though everything is no-collided. :suicide: Any ideas?
check your weights? lower the fin efficiency? and for steering use an apply angle e2... i would give one to you except im on vacation on a mac :| and this thing SUCKS.

 • that model isn't too shabby actually. smooth out the exhaust a bit and fix the UVing, i'll get it on the SVN. I've got sounds and shit for 1/2 cyl engines. ACF engines don't need to be pretty, but they just have to at least convey what they are, can always add props for further prettying.
 • Would anyone be able to point me to a tutorial or something on converting models from 3dsmax? I would love to help out with modeling a heap of stuff. Also WW1 rotary engines would be cool, but I guess then it would need animating or something.
 • My first attempt at something that's not a plane, worked on this for an hour or 2, but i don't think I'll get anymore progress done tonight :3

 • Sorry for shitting up this thread with even more off-topic posts but this is the best place to ask: During the last two years has there been any new tools, maps, modelpacks (except for SProps which I obviously have now) that are... good or a must-have if you will?

 • Sorry for off topic but I have to ask: Is there any way to chose where should be center of MakeSphericaled props? If there is no option in lua then I think there is a bypass (which I used once or twice but It could be easier if it was inside the tool): create small prop in a center of choosen wheel, make its sphere as huge as is that wheel and then parent that wheel to that small prop.

 • That 1cyl sounds like a lawnmower. Frikken pageking! •
Both exterior and interior are pretty much done. Friend is working on this big E2 script for an engine for it, should be pretty good. Going to start working on the wiring in a bit. A couple pictures below. Resized some but left 2 at a bit higher resolution. *pics* [editline]edit[/editline] Apparently, some of the rooflining is red.
How the fuck you managed putting so many props on it, is beyond me.
 •
How the fuck you managed putting so many props on it, is beyond me.
took me like 3 weeks modelling (and 2 weeks of vacation!) to use that many props. pretty fascinating.

 • I miss my old dupes.... I had a Scania lorry with over 1000 props that was still a WIP :( This one in fact: [t]http://puu.sh/Ofcc[/t] That's the only picture I have left of it and there it had just about 600 props so it looked alot better just when I lost it :v: [editline]3rd August 2012[/editline] Also 34 fps lol. My old computer really sucked ass

 • UV Mapping suckssssssssss D:. Hate it so much. Can't tell if that material has a bump map. If not, you should make one.

 • You misinterpreted what I said. I meant I hate UV mapping, as in the process of doing it. Sorry if anyone thought I was bashing your work.

 • More progress on my first tank :D Not quite sure what else it needs, but it seems unfinished
 •
You misinterpreted what I said. I meant I hate UV mapping, as in the process of doing it. Sorry if anyone thought I was bashing your work.
Sorry it's hard to tell sometimes.
 • I like the tank, though it seems like it's a bit flat. Try and see if you can get it a bit taller. [editline]digi pls spend 9 dollars on gldmenbership thx[/editline] ok so now that the video finally uploaded, I can ask this. so karb helped me a bit with this a while back but I'm still having some issues. Mainly the fact that props collide a lot when I go close to the place I spawned it. Also just happens randomly sometimes. Causes FPS lag and just general strain on my PC. [editline]3rd August 2012[/editline] breakthrough, if I go far enough away from where I spawned it, I can move it around at 60 FPS. As soon as I go near where I spawned it, back to 20. We're talking around 20x20 meters near the place I spawned it.
 •
nocollide all multi
tried, same problems again. 22 FPS when I'm around 20 meters near the spawnplace, 50-60 anywhere else. [editline]edit[/editline] also just randomly occurs sometimes.
