• Hello Facepunch, I'm Mike Raza. I would like to learn how to "Edit" these types of files for mostly the reason, I have a laptop and gmod runs well but smoke kills me. I go on SP. No smoke, No lag, perfect game BUT I go online. They got smoke enabled and I lose every gun battle in the game. I would like someone to perhaps help me learn or just give me the file to over-write or do whatever to remove this. Garry's mod is way boring with this smoke enabled on this server that I have been playing on for over a year. If you guys help me, I would be grateful forever. Take care and god bless, Mike Raza
• Well, if the server you're playing on uses CS:S Sweps that use this smoke effect, you could probably remove it using this file. http://www.gamebanana.com/gmod/skins/82148 What that file should do is replace your laggy smoke effect with a less laggy one, retaining visual pleasure, but improving your framerate. It worked for me, PM me if it's not working for you and I'll do my best to help you.
