http://wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/4f30d8004a1.jpg My first attempt at a proper city - I think it went pretty well C&C welcomed of course
My only gripe is that the man in the middle of the scene seems to not be affected by lighting at all
Everything else in the picture is either in shadow or darkened by textures. He happens to be in the only spot that catches all of the light surrounded by all the decay. I'll go in later and play with some darkness/contrast filters on him
Ok holy shit, you were quick to master the overgrowth - that vegetation looks majestic, and mixed with the now perfected texture blending - it's a perfect combination. The idea of the gigantic lawn mower being stuck in the city like that is super interesting. Somehow your posts fall between my diamonds and I always don't have enough to give you one, that's already two I owe you :V I wana give you some constructive feedback though: I think that you could have done more with the sky 'holes', they're a bit of a distraction. there are some outlines around things: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/710/0f9ba494-4c30-44b7-9bd1-270717ba5131/image.png you could reduce noise levels (on the entire frame or selected (masked) parts) to give the computery vegetation more visual softness, would work nicely here for example: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/710/e9f7947c-cf04-449d-acb0-2c79ff29eb39/image.png watch out for aliasing - when you render you should make sure your nvidia settings/game settings/and poster_aa is set to 1 to maximize quality https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/710/bd03ed11-f609-43a8-aa16-287952dee4b6/image.png
Oh my fucking god I completely forgot to add a sky..... someone crucify me
