  • Nothing will take the clouds out of the map. Well, unless you unloaded the particle thing or something. But i don't think you can do that.
  • Do you know that little water thing you put for decorations? You know, a small cube with some water? The water's really murky. Make it like the other blue one.

[u]Area 2[/u] The main part of the map, this is where you spawn. Towards the middle there's a large city made mostly of empty buildings for making things in. Surrounding it are two different elevations of grassy area. [u]Area C[/u] Area that connects the two elevations in a more subtle way. It's mostly grass with a few buildings and a mediocre hill. [u]Area 4[/u] A large lake with two floating places. One's just a large platform for building on, the other one isn't. Deep enough for underwater constructions. [u]Area 5[/u] A small desert featuring my horrifying displacement work. A few sand buildings and a construction platform. It's also in a big cloud of sand. [u][b]Other things of importance[/b][/u] -All custom content is packed in the .bsp file. -All three garage doors are not affected by the physgun. -The buttons in the obscure spa room are not meant to indicate it is an admin room of any sort. I just thought it'd be nice to have a button to permantently kill the sirens if someones being a nuisance. There's two buttons, one will start a broadcast, the other will end it. The news can be viewed on the monitors in the storage room or any RT surface. If you use some other RT surface, like the PHX TV model, chances are, you won't be able to see props and such. This is due to visleafs, to fix it, I made small boxes (I call them receptors) you can move around, just put one near the TV and it will display everything.   • Good try, but that didn't work either, the first time i tried i did that almost exactly. "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\my name\garrysmod\garrysmod\addons" *Shrug*
  • Don't unzip to the Addons folder. Unzip to the folder before that, Garrysmod/Garrysmod. This isn't in Addon format because it doesn't have an info.txt in there, so just unzip the files into their respective folders in Garrysmod/Garrysmod. "garrysmod/[B]maps[/B]/gm_excess_construct.bsp" needs to go into maps. "garrysmod/[B]materials/maps[/B]/gm_excess_construct.vmt" and "garrysmod/[B]materials/maps[/B]/gm_excess_construct.vtf" need to go into the Maps folder that is inside your Materials folder.
  • FYI: i Don't have winzip, i use a cheap-ass program that does the same thing, don't know if that makes a difference or not, just so you know. I unzipped it to my maps, put the Gm_excess_construct in my maps folder, the BSP file. Then i left the rest alone inside my maps, in my materials, in the folder the whole thing originally came in, still nothing, i suck at doing this shit, so step-by-step instructions would be much appreciated.
  • First of all awsome map best construction map ive ever seen and still one of the best in most other modes but since you asked for sugestions ive drawn up my wishlist just minor tweaks mainly to aid movement to and from the water and desert area [URL=http://imageshack.us][IMG]http://img230.imageshack.us/img230/1605/sugestionxa9.jpg[/IMG][/URL] the main one is the tunnel from the city/desert to the lake i think that would help alot was my only gripe with the map it just seems you should be able to go that way maybee have it slope down and come out on a little sand bar addded into the corner would be good for RP too as the desert and platform have the same architecture as if the same people own them. I am not critisising i love the map but i think it could be slightly more awsome.
  • The HDR or Bloom or whatever it is seems overpowering, but other than that, one of the best maps I've played.

As for the next version, I won't be posting any more updates here since this is not the thread for it. Progress has been delayed since recently my computer's power supply failed. Because of this I can't play gmod to do any testing on it. I should have a new one within a few weeks though.
