and that twitter is EXTREMELY left wing with most non-left accounts not getting verified even if they pass like 250k follows or shadowbanned
dunno about that, it's full of moronic virture signalling hardcore liberals but i'm sure the word socialism scares them off as much as cis white males. [editline]31st March 2017[/editline] this dudes just a prick
I don't understand why a professor's tweet is news. It's a pretty fuckin stupid tweet, yeah, but I don't really see how tweets are news.
I don't understand why a professor's tweet is news. It's a pretty fuckin stupid tweet, yeah, but I don't really see how tweets are news.
I'm not sure either, the best course of action is to shun an idiot like this. Infamy is still a type of fame to them.
How is this news, exactly?
How is this news, exactly?
because the dude said a thing earlier that got him in the news and thus he is now in the public eye and everything he says is scrutinized.
Person has retarded opinion? Better ruin his life as much as we can!
because the dude said a thing earlier that got him in the news and thus he is now in the public eye and everything he says is scrutinized.
So he's in the news, because he was in the news, so now he's in the news which means he'll be in the news later for being in the news. Great.
if you wanna see a shit slinger versus a shit slinger, this was pretty hilarious. The professor went on Tucker Carlson Tonight to defend the tweets [editline]31st March 2017[/editline] strange imagery choice for tucker on the freeze frame there
The US military is the most useless standing army in human history. With no borders, rights, or American lives to defend, the clout of 'soldiers are heroes' is an important one to maintain in a post-war MIC. But it's entirely mythical, and the rungs of fallen heroes are being buried by better-than-you dropouts, self important because they signed a part of their life away for the GI bill. I don't care what people's personal opinions are on soldiers, and the tweet is certainly an exaggeration, but I too feel a bit indignant when cowards in fatigues are being rewarded for decades of war crimes.
I too feel a bit indignant when cowards in fatigues are being rewarded for decades of war crimes.
Saying this is a good way to make yourself look like an ignorant asshole tbh, regardless of your feelings on the military-industrial complex, US foreign policy or US military doctrines.

Like, what the actual fuck is wrong with you?

Are you suggesting military members as a whole are cowards? Or are you referring to an incident or individual wherein the respect given was unjustified?

Darn us for committing war crimes and being cowards, hell maybe you can make a difference and have the balls to actually enlist if you're so much better than everyone in the military. It's not like at any given moment if a full-scale conflict were to happen, these cowards who sign away their rights and know that if something like that were to happen they'll be called upon to defend the nation. Yeah, fuck us, fuck anyone who had the balls to enlist or even get commissioned in the military because we're call cowards and men and women who committed war crimes.

That said, I agree that America's military worship is nonsensical.

For the purpose of this argument we'll say wearing MLP shirts in public and refusing to shave your pubestache do not constitute acts of bravery.
Nope, most places have a social media policy. Violate that policy and say bye bye.
This guy's been in the news twice before for making racist comments against white people. His employer doesn't seem to mind, and at worst condones it.
I too feel a bit indignant when cowards in fatigues are being rewarded for decades of war crimes.
Because blaming the average soldier worked so well the last time..
I'm really glad I didn't go to Drexel.

What would you define a hero as? Are they cowards for going through training and risking death and injury in a foreign land? Are they responsible for decades of war crimes? Are they being in any way rewarded for those war crimes? Your entire post makes zero fucking sense, it just seems like you hate the military.

We did as what our country asked of us, regardless of whether we agree to it. We have fought and died over things that were utterly useless, because that's what your government asked of us. If You don't like where we went and what we've had to do then go tell your congress people to stop cashing the checks we gave them up to and including our lives on useless wars.
There's a nugget of truth in that tweet to do with jingoistic military worship but he managed to go self-righteously gonzo to show us his disgust at something pretty near innocuous. gj you idiot

Having a army is why we are alive
The American liberal, ladies and gentlemen.
I'm really happy for you, it's not every day that one finds a top-tier internet shitpost to reinforce their strawmen with.

Ultimately they were the ones who signed on that line, no one forced them to.
The American liberal, ladies and gentlemen.
Don't generalize like this. It only makes you sink to his level and look just as stupid. Most people, liberal or not, are not nearly so disrespectful as he is.
