Wow, I remember following the development of Ghosthunt 2 and I'm just as eager to see this done. Congrats on the baby.
It isn't a bad start. As for criticism, the corners probably shouldn't be shaped like that. Portal maps are usually in squares and rectangles. The textures on said areas don't look right to me: If you see what I mean. Otherwise, keep it up.

This has definitely been an interesting read.
I am not sure whether or not this has been reported/fixed already, but I found a seam in the lake displacements: Aside from that, I'm impressed with how the map is coming along. Keep it up.

Reminds me of a time a few years ago when I joined a Gmod server that turned out to be French only, despite no such evidence in the server's name. They didn't take very kindly to my friendly "Hello. :)".

I think that Hammer would be liable to have a fit if he were to attempt the first picture. Those twisting parts don't look easy to do.
Special thanks to Iron and Aspen for insisting upon getting me Fallout: New Vegas and X3: Terran Conflict respectively. I don't really know what I did to deserve it, even though it's the Steam sales. You're both amazing.
Been ages since I last measured myself, looks like I've reached 6 foot as well. Eyefunk, were you born in a grow-bag? :v:
Might be less organized, but then, without a requests section there's less time spent requesting requesters to make their requests in the requests section. Releases might be more tricky to find though.
I like maps like this. An interesting concept that otherworldly entities travelling outside of space and time would need somewhere to stock up and everything.

A lot of scripted stuff just won't work in Garry's Mod. Which is why characters will assume the T-pose when they're meant to perform scripted sequences and that sort of thing. I tried the bunker gun with the same results, although it worked fine in EP2.

You can always apply to have one of those incredibly slow stair lifts built in. That would be an interesting map, come to think of it...spending hours descending the stairs in a little chair.
Perhaps it could be feasible for an elevator to be stopped from a maintenance room above the shaft. They also have those little alarm buttons among the controls inside, so a trapped person can alert his team mates with it. Just putting that idea out for anyone in need of one.
