Firefox uses a lot of RAM when you have a lot of RAM. It uses less RAM when you have less RAM in your machine. Same trick Vista did. It just allows FF to open up tabs faster. It 'should' not hurt your performance. You shouldn't complain about programs eating your RAM until you...
When you push f10 doesn't it ask for you to click "Quit Game" before closing your game now?
It does. Guess old jokes never die.
Still waiting. Black Mesa Source is far from dead when the devs are still kicking around jokes like this.
Loved the movie. This scene was one of the most tragic.
Can we have the original link?
If you mean the original YT link, it's right below the media box. If you mean the original C&H link, go here: http://www.explosm.net/comics/1785/
C&H short: Waiting For The Bus
Ugh, another troll comic.
First time I finished a Left4Dead finale. "In memory of xXx_tehOwnz3rs_xXx" We will always remember you Ownz3rs!
Bwaaah, can't fucking wait.
Haha, the Irish accent was awesome.
I love how this thread started out with everyone complaining about reposts, yet there was a load of funny content after the first page. Have a little faith in the internet guys :D

Thanks for the info guys. Think I'll give this engine a spin in the near future.
Try it? If you don't like the way things are done then write your own engine so you can make it how you want it?
The whole point about starting with a pre-build engine is to save time. I do not consider writing my own engine as an alternative. ...

FlatRedBall, a XNA game engine. Any good?
I stumbled upon this neat engine for XNA: http://www.flatredball.com/frb/index.php It's mainly focussed on '2.5D' games. It's updated monthly, which is a big plus. There are very extensive tutorials and lots of documentation available too. Seems to be a great eng...
Mr. Green server is currently offline because we're having issues with the vote manager. It keeps listing the same maps each round.
The effects are nice, but the overall story is somewhat dull, even if that's the whole point.

Haha, that's one of the best.
Ugh, the MTA 1.0 map editor is still very bug ridden :/
Last 3 pages sucked, we need content :/ One for the programmers amongst us:
We at Mr. Green have a permanent race-only server at calisto.mr-green.nl, port 22003. :)

Tried a few games. I'm not totally sold, mainly because of the controls (and yes, I was on a low-ping server). The weapons are fun though.

Nice to see this released to public. Never really got into the gamemode myself, but it's of great quality.
If Crysis was using static pre-calculated effects, it would mean developers would need to compile their maps, instead of the current jump-in-whenever-you-want Crysis Sandbox Editor.
Did you read the thread thoroughly? I find it... enthralling... The "true" void is not black, it's a trippy colour explosion. The guys at the WM forum had an idea about building a ship to explore the void with, because there might be something out there...

"..even a gunship" I now picture an apache longbow with a shark attached to it.
Bet it won't be really aimed at gamers. They're going for the Linux crowd with this one. Sure competition is good, but I'd hate it if games would be 'exclusive' to a specific OS, like you have with consoles. :/

Nice. I had some serious performance problems with VLC, it somehow kept hanging on frames in some mkv vids, disorting them and whatnot.
In the end, your graphics card will make the greatest difference in videogame performance. You can't go wrong with either processors. E8400 will pull a few extra frames per second. Q6600 will probably run better if you have a lot of stuff running on the background.
